CHUMPHON: A 20-year-old man was hit by a mysterious pickup truck, forcing him to ride past his house to save himself. In the end, he was hit so badly that his leg had to be amputated.

According to Thai News Agency, CCTV captured the moment a black pickup truck drove at high speed, relentlessly chasing the injured motorcycle. Finally, it attempted to swerve and hit the motorcycle, which then collided with an electric pole with great force. The pickup truck subsequently spun out of control and sped away. Despite being injured, the victim remained conscious and shouted for help. This incident occurred in the middle of the night on January 15, 2015, on the Chumphon-Ranong road, Wang Mai sub-district, Mueang district, Chumphon province.

The father of Narongsak, the injured 20-year-old, recently filed a complaint with reporters, expressing that his son had never had any problems with anyone and that the pickup truck driver was unknown to them. On the night of the incident, Narongsak had gone to a convenience store at the entrance of the alley but noticed the black pickup truck following him on his way back. Shocked, he attempted to escape on his motorcycle. Despite his efforts to evade the vehicle through traffic, the pickup truck pursued him. Narongsak was forced to ride past the alley leading to his home as the pickup truck sped dangerously. He attempted to seek help from other houses in the alley, but it was too late. Ultimately, the pickup truck struck him, propelling him into an electric pole until neighbors intervened and called for rescue workers.

The impact resulted in Narongsak's left leg being amputated above the knee due to severe damage to the bone. His parents have expressed their anger and fear that the incident will be overlooked, prompting them to seek justice and urge the police to apprehend the perpetrator swiftly. With Narongsak unable to work on the palm plantation, his recovery will be a long journey for both his physical and mental well-being.
