The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found bacteria in two brands of artificial tears, EzriCare and Delsam Pharma, made in India. As a result, 3 people died, 8 people lost their sight, and 4 people had to have their eyes removed.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has inspected and found no registration of such products. And found no information about selling on the internet in Thailand.

For the safe use of artificial tears Should be used according to the instructions of each form, such as daily artificial tears. must be used no later than 12-24 hours after opening or monthly Can be used for no more than 1 month after opening, etc., and should not be shared with others. because it can cause infection By instilling artificial tears, care must be taken that the tip of the tube does not touch the eyes or eyelashes. to prevent infection until the eyes become inflamed and if additional artificial tears and eye drops are required They should be used about 10 minutes apart.
