Mrs. Thiwalrat said that Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin cares for employees and insured persons who have experienced harm that has caused them to become a person with disabilities. Therefore, she, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), and the delegation visited Ratchaburi Province to build morale and a positive feeling about the social security system’s welfare, including the importance of taking care and ensuring the stability of life of insured persons. They also ensured close cases for insured persons in every aspect. Today, the visiting delegation delivered appliances and goods to the insured with disabilities. They also provided benefits from SSO Happiness Project for 2022 to two insured persons with disabilities as follows:

The first was Mr. Somchai Avirutcheewin, 64, a Section 39 insured person with a disability caused by a stroke. They have a weakened right arm and leg. They can walk using a three-legged cane as support. In this regard, the old-age pension with interest has been received in the amount of 67,124.96 Baht. In addition, he also receives monthly compensation benefits for life, such as compensation for lack of income in case of disability, amounting to 2,400 Baht per month, plus transportation costs for transporting people with disabilities for 500 Baht per month. The visit took place at the insured person’s home in Khu Bua Subdistrict, Mueang District, Ratchaburi Province.

Mr. Somchai said he was happy and thanked the social security system that made him almost normal again. Because the right side of his body is weak, he cannot move and cannot walk at all. He received treatment where his social security rights were used to help pay for all treatments, including the cost of brain x-rays, treatment fees, and medicine fees. All costs were covered entirely. Because the cost is quite high, he wouldn’t have been able to pay for the treatment himself. He also received a lump sum pension and compensation for lack of income and transportation costs for life. He uses that money to pay for household expenses, food, water, electricity, and personal expenses. He does not have to worry much or worry about his children, as he can live and support himself. Additionally, his children will not have to worry about funeral expenses if he passes away.

The second person was Mrs. Chalong Saenkaew, 57, a Section 39 insured person with a disability caused by a stroke. She lies in bed and is unable to help herself. She is also unable to speak. In this regard, the old-age pension with interest has been received in the amount of 46,421.25 Baht. In addition, she also receives monthly compensation benefits for life, such as compensation for lack of income in case of disability, amounting to 2,400 Baht per month, plus transportation costs for transporting people with disabilities for 500 Baht per month. The visit took place at the insured person’s home in Khu Bua Subdistrict, Mueang District, Ratchaburi Province.
