Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned his Assistant to perform the Ministry of Labour’s to visit Ubon Ratchathani and drive the missions following the Labour Minister’s policies, emphasizing making the most of the benefits people in the area to meet the set targets.
On December 21, 2020, at 10.00 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Assistant Minister from the Prime Minister’s Office performing duties at the Ministry of Labour Mr. Pornsak Charoenprasert and committee to visit Ubon Ratchathani. He chaired the meeting of the head of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour to monitor the Ministry’s missions at the Ubon Ratchathani Institute of Skill Development 7. They observed projects to enhance skills and labour competencies, training courses for preparing to work in small commercial air conditioning repair, and Thai culinary. The Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General Mrs. Phattana Phanfak, also joined the occasion. The Assistant Minister from the Prime Minister’s Office performing duties at the Ministry of Labour emphasized that agencies under the Ministry of Labour work together to drive the Labour Minister’s policies to meet specific goals and to provide the most benefit to the people in Ubon Ratchathani.
Mr. Pornsak charged the head of the government agencies with three main measures, including asking the Institute for Skill Development, in conjunction with the Federation of Thai Chamber of Commerce, related sectors, recruiting youth and unemployed people to attend vocational training at the Ubon Ratchathani Labour Institute 7 in high-tech fields. He said that the labour market needs to increase in number and provide job vacancies for fresh graduates to reduce parents’ burden and stimulate the local economy. He also asked to promote more informal workers to apply for social security under Section 40 and for the five labour leaders to prepare to cope with the Covid-19 pandemic during this period by urging employers to educate employees about the virus spread among migrant worker and to promote wearing surgical masks, using hand sanitizer and strictly adhering to various measures.
