Police seize gold from ‘Mae Tak’s’ shop for inspection, confirm no seizure of money or gold in the shop

Consumer Protection Police seized gold and important documents in a gold shop after arresting 'Mae Tak-Pa Beer', emphasizing that no money or gold in the shop has been seized, while the shop is still open for gold to be sold back as usual. At the gold shop on Harit Rat Road, Bang Chan Subdistrict, Khlong Sam Wa District, the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) and the Consumer Protection Police Division (CPPD) inspected the K2N gold shop. The officers spent more than 3 hours inspecting the shop before removing 3 large parcels. Pol. Lt. Col. Pairat Phromwong, deputy chief of the Consumer Protection Police Division 1, revealed that officers have collected evidence related to the case, including gold and related documents, to be examined, but no money or gold in the shop has been seized yet. The gold examination this time is only to examine the gold related to the case further according to the procedure to be used in the case file only. Pol. Col. Yingyot Chalatpru, Superintendent of Nimit Mai Metropolitan Pol ice Station, added that the Consumer Protection Police Division officers only seized the gold that customers had brought back to sell. They did not take any other gold from the store for examination. After speaking with the store manager, he learned that the store was still open for business as usual. Customers could still bring their gold back to sell as usual. The money used to pay back customers would come from selling the gold to generate cash for customers.
