Tass News Agency of Russia reported that Mr. Putin met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. in the city of St. Petersburg Mr Putin has expressed support for the BRI. The BRI, which is related to infrastructure, turns 10 this year. Mr Putin said the BRI harmonizes the idea of creating a larger Eurasian space and is beneficial to both Russia and China. Mr. Putan also said to Mr. Wang. Russia would like to maintain close cooperation with China under bilateral cooperation frameworks such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the BRICS mechanism.
