SHANGHAI, Aug. 9 — Recently Integrated Green Technology Demonstration Building Yangtze River Delta Construction completed and operational in Shanghai. It is the city's largest single-family, zero-energy building.
This modern office building It has a building area of nearly 12,000 square meters and is equipped with solar panels for power generation. It was classified as a zero-energy building by the China Association of Building Energy Efficiency.
The surface and roof of the building are cleverly arranged with solar panels to generate electricity. The sunlight could enter the Great Hall from both sides. thus saving electricity for lighting while the overlapping half-stair design encourages more staff to use the stairs. and use less elevators
In addition, this building contains intelligent robots. This makes it possible to operate and maintain the entire building's electromechanical equipment through a single platform.
It is estimated that solar panels will produce 480,000 kWh of electricity in the first year. which not only achieve dependence on self-generated electricity It also allows some of the surplus electricity to be fed into the city's grid to supply local electricity. - Xinhua news agency
